Flowers and plants provide wonderful subjects for painting.  Abstract shapes, bold colors, and great compositions abound. Lon Brauer is offering his painting experience in this two-day workshop to show how one can create impressionistic images that tell a story.

Explore new ways of interpreting this time-honored subject with alternative methods and materials. Lon Brauer’s approach to oil painting will provide you with a fresh approach in the making of floral paintings.  Big brushes and lots of paint will open new possibilities as you make fun and colorful paintings.

This is a two-day workshop where students will be working from both photo reference and still life set-ups. Class size is limited to 10 to allow for plenty of one-on-one attention. Lon’s approach to painting will give you new, and perhaps unexplored, techniques that will open up a fresh look to your paintings.  Some knowledge and experience with oil painting is recommended but even the novice will gain from the activity.
